The
I3 Series’ main display page will only display a picture
once the correct user identification and password are entered.
Passwords are generated by an administrator and are assigned different
levels of access. A typical user can for example, have access to a
particular camera and a specific module only. To further illustrate:
User A's password can be set so that User A can only see cameras one
and two and have no access to the setup menu.
Once a user inputs their I.D. and password, all
activities are recorded in the log-in database. The administrator can
view the activities of a particular user. This is an advantage both
from a technical and historical view-point in that it can aid in
troubleshooting and that statistical analysis can be easily
generated..
An added feature of
the I3 Series is the Emergency Email call out. This
feature acts as an alarm function where motion area, program
activation time and e-mail addresses are inputted by the
administrator. Once an alarm is set off, an email will be sent to the
appropriate person informing them which camera triggered the alarm and
more specifically, the zone in which it was triggered. Five areas can
be defined by the administrator with this feature.
Video loss control output is a feature
that was designed initially for the petroleum industry but has found
useful applications elsewhere . Technicians can set up a system so
that in the event a camera loses its signal, a specific output would
be triggered. The output for example, could be in the automatic shut
down of a gas pump if the camera loses its signal.
